The Salvation Army

As of this morning The Salvation Army Charity shop on the high street has committed to being a drop point for anyone wishing to make donations of food to our food distribution response, Kevin the manager is working along side me in order to work out the logistics of this. We are already receiving requests and are hoping to make our first basic food drops at some point today if not then certainly by tomorrow. We are working hard to get a set of policies and procedures in place to have our church hall open as much as possible for the donation, sorting and distribution of food as quickly as possible.

One of the issues we face immediately is provision of food this week. We have food on order but as you can imagine we need this food to get to us before we can distribute it out. If anyone has any contacts that we could tap into for an immediate response please let me know so we can be in a position where we are able to provide something until the bulk of our food orders arrive.

Many thanks for your work and help in this,

Jon Doyle
